True Love!

First of all please allow me to start off by apologizing for this post. I know it's gross but there is a story behind it. After last nights posts I felt as if I was hogging a little of the spotlight so I made it my resolve to make sure that both DeEtte and Skyler joined in on the fun. I wanted them to post and reveal their thoughts of the day to all of our readers. As you can see Skyler seized the moment and did a fine job at his first ever post (see two tickets to the gun show). DeEtte was.... Well... a little more reluctant to add her thoughts. Between the statements "I'm really tired" and "why do you torture me like this" she made it very clear she was not the least interested in contributing to our little project tonight. In all fairness to her she did have a long day with Skyler and she did say that she wanted some time to think about what she was going to post. Fair enough. I understand.
Here is the real problem; I had no idea as to what I should post about! After her referring to me as a "pain in her bum" I had an epiphany!
Fat + Work + Giant Lot + Doc Martins + Pain = Knarly Blister on foot! Sweet! I had the perfect topic for another post. When I took my sock off to have DeEtte take the picture she started to cry and said "ohhhh Daddy has a boo boo on his tootsie!" She then kissed the blister on my foot! Is this the greatest woman ever or what? She loves me and I love her! I love you DeEtte! The next time she gets a blister on her foot IM kissn it!

Two Tickets To The Gun Show!

Now as you can see I have been at the University of Utah football camp and I have been working out my guns. Now ladies I know you must be dazzled at my luscious guns but hold your gasps until you see me in person. Today was my second day at the camp and I have learned a lot of new things and I have really messed up my brand new helmet. I am on a scrimmage team from Park City and I am hanging with the 8th graders but I am never afraid. They might be bigger but the bigger they are the harder they fall. I am going against about kids that are about 5'9 to 6'0. I am just barely 5'3 but I still hang in there. But luckily I have most of the big kids on my scrimmage team which makes me feel a lot better. At this camp I am getting a taste of the guys I will be going against but I am really happy. Ladies you can gasp at my guns now!!!!

Geesh how could I forget!

Apparently adding DeEtte and Skyler to my Blog wasn’t good enough. As my wife pointed out I forgot Remmingtion our dog. Yea gee how could I forget the dog.
Let me tell you something, when I die, I want to come back as this dog. Spoiled ain’t the word for it. I have seen Presidents that receive lesser treatment then this dog. As God is my witness I swear DeEtte bought her a Rolex for Mothers Day. SHES NOT EVEN A MOTHER! She has never had puppies! You know what I got for Fathers day? A half gallon of Spumoni Ice Cream and fresh "Tootsie Roll" compliments of the dog! Why I otta!.!.!.!
And what about the cat? You don't hear anybody insisting we put a picture of the cat on our blog. For all I know he's pushin up daises in our basement! I haven’t seen him in three weeks!
Ah to hell with it, DeEtte told me she would bake me cookies if I posted something about the dog. I love you Remmy but you gotta go! Enjoy everyone!

Heisman 2017!

This is our son Skyler. He is a great kid and we love him very much. Skyler is a very complex boy and he loves many things. Some of those things include football, baseball, X-box/PS3, his mobile phone, all kinds of shoes, and of course the Denver Broncos. Skyler just finished his first year of Jr. High and did very well. Even though he had some serous challenges through out the year he was still able to maintain a 3.1 overall GPA. He capped the year off with a Report Card showing a 3.35 GPA with all s's or above on his citizenship grades. He worked very hard and we are so proud of his efforts. DeEtte and I made a deal with Skyler at the beginning of the year that if he was able to maintain a 3.0 or better throughout the year the he would get a new mountain bike. Skyler held up his end of the bargain and so did we, he received a brand new TREK mountain bike last Saturday. Job well-done son!
As I mentioned above Skyler loves Football. He has already attended the Red and Blue camp over the Memorial Day holiday and is currently attending the University of Utah full contact camp. Today was his first day and he did GREAT! He was in a group of about 15 linemen and was picked the first of three out of his group to represent them in the "Trench Wars" competition with the other linemen group. Skyler battled his way through the competition and made it to the finals. The finals were tough and he was competing against a rather large young man from South Summit. Even though Skyler gave it his all he ended up taking second place. The coaches commented that although Skyler was the smallest linemen he had the most heart! That’s my boy! We are both so proud of you Skyler.
Skyler announced to DeEtte and I the other night that he intends on being the Heisman Trophy winner for 2017. He is so confident in his abilities that he is starting to practice his pose for the trophy. Looking good Sky! Make it count son!

De Ette opened a can of Whoop Ass!

This is my beautiful wife of 17 years. After I advised her of our new family Blog she proceeded to inform me of what a jerk I was for not putting her or our son in my original two posts. The conversation that followed was should I say ummmmmm... Not that loving. After several apologies from myself, and a guarantee of a trip to Lane Bryant ($150.00 minimum) this weekend, I am here to express my love of my wife to the whole Internet community.
I Love You Honey Bunz!

I almost forgot!

I forgot to post the picture I just took. It's me in my office. Ladies, keep your cat calls to a minimum!

The beginning

Well here we are..... The Richards Family Chronicles. I know, stupid. It was the only thing I could come up with when I was creating this blog with the help of my nephew Reagan. Thanks Regy. Now talk about blogs, Regan is the king! He and his wife have one called "Beauty and the Jurist" Now that’s A Blog. I read it every day, it's the best! My younger brother Ryan (actually my nephew) and my nephew Rory and their spouses both have pretty sweet blogs as well. Thanks for being my inspiration guys! I love you one and all.
So I guess I am here to give the world a peek into my daily life and more importantly a perspective on my warped mind. Am I here to exercise some of my demons? Yes for sure, and God knows how badly my demons need some exercising. I haven’t been able to find the beauty in my life that surrounds me for a long time, maybe just maybe, by writing about it, I will be able to clearly see what has been in front of me for years.
I’m not going to hold back so get in sit down shut up and hold on! I am hoping this is going to be one hell of a ride!
