It's Six Shooters at high noon!

Well I reckon it's come to this. The last time Julia "Quick Draw" Duckworth and her brother Boo "The Kid" were in town they ended up puttn a couple of plugs in me from about 30 paces. After those two varmets were done with me I had to go see Dr. Willie Feelymebones so he could patch me up.
I'm feelin better now and I done got me a sidekick. He is the most evil, rootn, tootn, quick shootn son of a gun this side of old Mexicali! He goes by the name of "Pacos Pete"! He can eat a chili verde burrito and plug a skeeter between the eyes from 20 yards all at the same time!
I done reckon you two rascals better watch out. The next time yer in town it's gonna be six shooters in front of Grandma and Grandpas house at high noon! This town ain’t big enough for the 4 of us!

Helen you ROCK!

After years of not having an updated family picture of DeEtte, Skyler and I, budding photographer, Helen Duckworth (my nephew’s wife) volunteered to take our picture. The result? Awesome pictures of my family and I. I for one really don't care for being part of pictures but I have to tell you, I am so happy with the way the few I have seen turned out and am very excited to see the rest. Helen was showing me some of the pictures on the camera and there is one of DeEtte that is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. My wife, she is a beauty! I love her so much, what a lucky man I am. I can't wait to not only post it here but put it in my office as well.
Helen we just want to thank you for all of you hard work and effort you are putting in to our family photos. We love and miss you guys and can't wait to see you all again.

She walks, she talks, she blogs!

Well Folks, I have been taken a lot of grief lately for not blogging yet. So, here we go. Hold on to your hats! Things are pretty busy around here. We just finished up with the Baseball season and we are awaiting the much anticipated Football season. Skyler has decided that he doesn't want to be too out of shape and is now running over at the high school each morning with his friends David and Chance. Run Skyler Run!
This last weekend we had the monthly Petersen Family dinner. As always we had excellent food prepared by the Iron Chefs of the family. My dear sweet hubbie did all the barbecuing. It was delicious. Don't worry folks, I carefully inspected his hands for blisters. I took great care of each one.
I have just baked cookies for the boys, wish you were all here to have one. Happy Hump Day!

Damn you gazebo and patio furniture, damn you all to hell!

Let's get one thing straight! I hate putting stuff together! Plane and simple, I suck at it! After years of hearing things like this from my lovely wife, "honey will you buy me a gazebo?" and "it sure is a nice night tonight, wouldn't it be great to be able to sit under a gazebo and enjoy each others company?" and my personal favorite "If you don't get me that gazebo over at Home Depot I'm gonna dot your eyes for ya!" I finally decided to buy a gazebo and patio furniture.
My first mistake was listening to the lady at Home Depot tell me how easy it was to assemble. Yea right lady, maby if your name is Jack Handy and you own a bitchen set of craftsmen tools. All I have is a screwdriver and some weed eater line! Geesh!
After much patience on Deette's part and lots of procrastination on my part we finally were the proud owners of a gazebo and some patio furniture. What was supposed to take the normal he-man 2 hours took me and Skyler 5 days.
If I were a betting man, which of course I am, I would bet the structure will topple or blow away within the next 24 hours. Keep in mind it has already blown away once! And what of the patio furniture you say? I am almost positive one of the 7 pieces is going to blow up or get stolen within the next two weeks. Ahh the pride of home ownership. I want a freakin condo!

3rd place in regular season and 2nd in tournement aint so bad

Well i had a great season i almost hit a home run in the round robin against the red sox it was really funny because i thought i really did hit a home run so i started to jog to first and the next thing i see is the left fielder run to the fence and throw the ball to second and it made me so angry. Everyone on the red sox said it was a lucky hit but the next at bat i hit in the same spot . I made an astounding out at second because i was holding this kid on second and the pitcher tried to pick him off but he threw it outside and i dived for it and i had to do a army dive to catch it and i tagged the guy on his way back and i got him out that was the best play i ever made. But now i am looking forward to football. PEACE!
