Santa Came Early This Year!

Well it looks as if Santa hit the Richards pad a little early this year. The Christmas stork dropped off a little pre holiday cheer today. As you can see in the picture Remmy is already bossing him around. I think he is pretty smart. We have only had him for about 8 hours and I think I already have him potty trained. Man I sure hope it turns out to be this easy.
We were going to name him Winchester so there would be an obvious connection to Remmingtion but I was out voted and "Mom" decided on the name Ouzo. Why we decided on "Ouzo" is a little bit of a mystery to me, maybe it's because the only time DeEtte has been officially sloshed was when she was drinking copious amounts of the Greek beverage. We will just run with it!
We are happy to have him here and we are looking forward to being a part of little Ouzo's time here on earth.

Holy @#$% it's Christmas!

Holy @#$% it's Christmas!
Skyler reminded me this evening that there is only 16 days left till Christmas. Well, we are not ready for Christmas here at the Richards's. We are for sure on the naughty list. I hope to finish it all by the 24th at least. HAHA!
I do hope we get more snow. We need to cover up Remi's little treasures that were left. One thing that I will miss this year is my skin tags. Matt and I got ours removed and it was more painful for Matt but we made it through-those little babies are long gone. In medical circles the skin tags are refurred to as "goshdangthosethingsarefreakingrossiosis!" Yahoo!
I am too going to miss Football. Matt and Sky think only they have count downs, but it's me too. Well everyone I wish you all happy shopping!

I HAVE THE DIRTIEST HELMET IN THE STATE!!!

Well if you have not read the post before this football is OVER. I have been going for at least 4 or 5 months. We did not have the best record 3-13 that is not GOOD. My helmet is allot more dirty than any other player in the state. There is so much paint missing it is not even funny. I think I have had a concussion at some point in time because I use my head allot. My dad said I have the gift of hitting people really hard. I gain respect by hitting people hard. I am sure that there is people out there that harder than me but if I face them it should be interesting. Half of my X in the middle of my helmet is gone and if you don't believe me look at the picture I am not kidding.

The Season Has Finally Come To A Close!

Well as much as I hate to say it Football is officially over. Tonight was our Team Banquet so that’s that!
I can’t begin to explain how much I enjoy coaching Little League Football. Not only do I get to spend hours on end coaching and being a part of my son's life but also I get the reward of hopefully, being a good influence on several young men's lives. It is truly a great gift for me and I am thankful for being a part of it.
As most of you know that being a member of the Copper Hills Little League Board Of Directors and a Coach takes a ton of both mine and DeEtte's time. DeEtte, myself and especially Skyler can't tell you how appreciative we are for the support we receive throughout the Football year. From posts on this blog to calls from down south to seeing familiar faces in the crowd at each game, we appreciate it all.
I have to say the highlight of the year for me (aside from watching Skyler play) was when not only both of my sisters and their families but my 80 year old mother braved low 30's to come watch Skyler at an 8:00 P.M game. Thanks for being there. I also greatly appreciated Skyler’s Grandparents Neil and Julynne and their faithful support at each of his season and post season games. We love and thank all of you.
Most of all I want to tell Skyler how proud of him we are. He may not have been the most physically gifted boy on the field but he did the best he could and always gave 100%. Job well-done Skyler! We love you!
Well that’s about it! IM counting the seconds until next June!
