Heisman 2017!

This is our son Skyler. He is a great kid and we love him very much. Skyler is a very complex boy and he loves many things. Some of those things include football, baseball, X-box/PS3, his mobile phone, all kinds of shoes, and of course the Denver Broncos. Skyler just finished his first year of Jr. High and did very well. Even though he had some serous challenges through out the year he was still able to maintain a 3.1 overall GPA. He capped the year off with a Report Card showing a 3.35 GPA with all s's or above on his citizenship grades. He worked very hard and we are so proud of his efforts. DeEtte and I made a deal with Skyler at the beginning of the year that if he was able to maintain a 3.0 or better throughout the year the he would get a new mountain bike. Skyler held up his end of the bargain and so did we, he received a brand new TREK mountain bike last Saturday. Job well-done son!
As I mentioned above Skyler loves Football. He has already attended the Red and Blue camp over the Memorial Day holiday and is currently attending the University of Utah full contact camp. Today was his first day and he did GREAT! He was in a group of about 15 linemen and was picked the first of three out of his group to represent them in the "Trench Wars" competition with the other linemen group. Skyler battled his way through the competition and made it to the finals. The finals were tough and he was competing against a rather large young man from South Summit. Even though Skyler gave it his all he ended up taking second place. The coaches commented that although Skyler was the smallest linemen he had the most heart! That’s my boy! We are both so proud of you Skyler.
Skyler announced to DeEtte and I the other night that he intends on being the Heisman Trophy winner for 2017. He is so confident in his abilities that he is starting to practice his pose for the trophy. Looking good Sky! Make it count son!
